Max Chirico is an Italian pianist, trumpet player, arranger and composer. His piano trio, with Luigi Scaccianoce on bass and Vittorio Sicbaldi on drums showcases some of his original compositions plus reworkings of old standards.
The Max Chirico Quintet, featuring Stjepko "Steve" Gut on trumpet and flugel, Fabio Petretti on tenor sax, Paolo Benedettini on bass and Vittorio Sicbaldi on drums, tours regularly to great critical acclaim.
He also features in English singer-songwriter Melissa Stott's latest CD, The Picture, both as a pianist and as an arranger.
Max Chirico arranges for the Symphonic Orchestra of Massa Carrara (Tuscany); his work for vocals, piano trio and orchestra have received high praise.
